PFAFF quilt expression™ 720
A computerised PFAFF Expression series sewing machine with 428 stitches, side-motion sewing up to 52 mm wide and the IDT™ integrated dual feed system. Designed for sewing, decorative work and quilting.
The machine has a colour touch screen, electronic presser foot lift, knee lift, automatic thread tension, a large memory, automatic thread cutter and needle positioning. Many presser feet and accessories are included as standard.
Like all Expression series machines, it has a large work area, making it easy to sew large items and do free-motion quilting. You can also sew without the foot control, and the machine sews tie-offs and buttonholes automatically.

Features
Colour touch screen
A large colour touch screen showing all information about the selected operation, settings and recommendations. Screen size: 70 × 53 mm. Clear graphics help you set the sewing parameters quickly.
25 cm work area
A full 25 cm to the right of the needle. Convenient for sewing large items such as bed linen, curtains, tablecloths or throws.
IDT™ fabric feed system
The IDT™ integrated dual feed system was developed by PFAFF engineers in 1968. The upper feed works in sync with the lower feed dogs, so fabric layers do not shift against each other when sewing long seams.
This matters not only with slippery fabrics but also with jersey, silk, denim and knitted items.
Decorative stitches
The machine can sew stitches on top of each other, creating a three-dimensional (3D) look. You can sew one, two or three bands and create various decorations, and embroider initials or words using one of the 4 alphabets.
Creating your own stitch
If you cannot find the stitch you need, you can create your own or edit an existing one and save it in the machine memory.
The memory holds 30 decorative combinations of up to 99 characters. The machine sews the elements one after another in the order you arranged them.
Electronic presser foot lift and knee lift
The machine raises the presser foot itself to the first position at the press of a button. Press again and the foot rises higher while the feed dogs drop so they do not get in the way when placing fabric. The foot can also be raised with the knee lift.
Thread tension is set automatically according to the fabric under the foot, but you can also adjust it yourself. The built-in needle threader helps you thread the needle quickly.
Buttonholes with a sensor foot
A special sensor buttonhole foot is included. You enter the buttonhole length in the machine menu before sewing, then the machine does everything itself and all buttonholes come out the same.
Side-motion sewing up to 52 mm
The machine can feed the fabric not only forwards and backwards but also sideways, so patterns up to 52 mm wide can be sewn.
428 stitches and 4 alphabets
Utility and decorative stitches up to 9 mm wide. Four alphabets with letters and numbers come in handy when you want to embroider a name or initials.
Other convenient functions
Sewing speed control, sewing without the foot control, thread cutting and raising or lowering the presser foot with a single button, tie-off, mirror imaging of decorative stitches.
