BABY LOCK BLS3 Victory – a four-thread overlocker made in Japan that sets the thread tension itself and threads the loopers with a jet of air.

When sewing with four threads, you do not need to adjust the tension of each thread separately – the patented Automatic Thread Delivery™ system does this regardless of the threads and fabric. All you have to do is select the operation with the dial.

Many overlocker users struggle with threading in a particular order: miss a hook and the machine skips stitches, tangles threads or breaks needles. On the Victory, the threads are blown into the loopers by a jet of compressed air – just press a lever. The needles are threaded by the patented Needle Threading System™.

The machine incorporates 10 patents. The Victory is the best-selling Baby Lock overlocker in the world.

Features

Jet-Air Threading™ for the loopers

The loopers are steel tubes, and the threads are blown into them by a jet of compressed air. No tweezers, threading sequence or complicated diagrams: insert the thread end into the port and press the button.

Automatic Thread Delivery (ATD) system

The automatic thread tension system sets the tension itself, so the seam is equally neat on thin silk and heavy denim. No manual tension adjustment is needed.

Presser foot lift up to 6 mm

The presser foot lifts up to 6.0 mm, making it easy to sew thick items too.

Bright 2 LED lighting

Two LED lights illuminate the work well – working is more comfortable and safer.

Differential feed

The feed dog system is one piece, not split as on many other manufacturers' machines, so the fabric is fed more steadily and the differential is controlled more precisely.

Needle Threading System™

Patented needle threading system. Lower the threading mechanism, hook the thread and release – the thread is in the needle eye.

Cutting knife system

Trimming the fabric edge, feeding the fabric and moving the needles happen in sync (patented system). The knives are made of hardened steel and have a special ebonite coating.

Stitch length and rolled hem control

The stitch length dial is conveniently placed. If you need a fine, dense seam, simply turn it to the Rolled Hem position.

Vertical needle system

On all Baby Lock machines the needle bar is vertical, not slanted. This way the needles penetrate the fabric more steadily, do not bend or break by striking the loopers, and the loopers work more precisely – fewer skipped stitches.
