Needle up/down positioning system
The PFAFF Smarter 260c sewing machine has an exceptional, very convenient feature – the needle positioning system. If you need to change direction while sewing, stop with the needle down, turn the fabric without losing the last stitch and carry on sewing. Only when you finish sewing do you set the needle to the up position and complete the process. A very convenient function you'll use in every project and that helps you sew more beautiful seams.

Info button
The info button "i" always tells you which presser foot is best for the selected operation. The display shows the stitch number, and pressing the button again shows which foot to choose.

Audible signal and other great functions
If you accidentally start sewing without lowering the presser foot, the sewing machine immediately warns you with an audible signal.
The built-in needle threader helps you thread the needle quickly and easily.
The automatic locking system secures the seam at both the start and the end. The seam will be strong and will never unravel.
Choose a stitch length of up to 4.5 mm and adjust the width up to 6 mm. When you select an operation, the machine automatically sets the optimum length and width for it. If these settings don't suit you, you can always adjust them to your needs.
The machine has a special lever for lowering the feed dogs. This lets you do free-motion embroidery or sew on buttons.
With the additional speed control lever you can also set the sewing speed you need for the complexity of the operation.
The machine also has a presser foot pressure adjuster that helps you set the right parameters for the thickness of the fabric.
