Computerised sewing machine from the JUKI HZL-G series with 180 stitches, including 8 types of automatic buttonholes, an alphabet and monograms. Suitable for home use, small sewing workshops and clothing alteration shops.
The HZL-G120 is sturdily built and sews a wide range of fabrics, from fine silk to heavy denim or leather. The feed dogs move as in industrial machines, so seams stay even even where the fabric gets thicker.
The large working area, LED lighting, automatic needle threader and pedal-free sewing make everyday work easier, and a chart of all stitches is always visible in the flip-up lid.
Features
Light and heavy fabrics
HZL-G series machines sew everything from the finest silk to heavy denim or even leather. They are among the most durable machines in their class, with a very sturdy construction.
Direct stitch selection
Stitches are selected with buttons on the front of the machine. A chart is clearly shown on the flip-up lid, so there is no need to open the manual.
Large working area
One of the largest working areas among domestic machines, making it easy to sew large items too. It gets even bigger with the optional extension table.
Industrial-type fabric feed
The feed dogs move in a rectangular path, as in industrial machines, whereas most domestic machines use an elliptical one. The feed dogs are steel and the presser foot mounting is reinforced.
Transitions from thin to thick sections when sewing denim or coat fabrics are smooth: stitches do not bunch up or skip.
8 types of buttonholes
Buttonholes are sewn precisely and neatly, with quality comparable to industrial ones.
Speed control slider
Variable Speed Control is an additional slider for setting the sewing speed. You can even sew one stitch at a time, and the machine does not start with a sudden jump.
LED lighting
LED bulbs light the working area brightly, do not burn out and use almost no electricity.
Automatic needle threader
The automatic threading mechanism threads the needle quickly and effortlessly.
Quilting and free-motion embroidery
JUKI pays a lot of attention to quilting, so free-motion work is comfortable on this machine.
START&STOP button
You can sew without the foot pedal. The button lights green when the presser foot is lowered and the machine is ready, and red when the foot is raised – the machine is then protected from starting accidentally.
The button is right by your thumb while your hands guide the fabric, so you do not have to take your eyes off the work.
Horizontal hook and 7-row feed dog system
Horizontal hook system with a built-in thread cutter. The widened 7-row feed dog system feeds the fabric evenly.
Removable free arm platform
With part of the platform removed, it is easier to reach hard-to-access areas of the item.
High presser foot lift
The presser foot has two lift positions – standard and an extra-high one. Handy for sewing thick items such as coats and denim.
Other convenient functions
Stitch chart in the lid
Open the top lid to see information on all stitches.
Automatic bobbin winding
When enough thread has been wound, the mechanism releases the bobbin and winding stops.
A variety of projects
Choose the right needle and presser foot and you can sew denim, leather, silk or knitwear.
Hard cover
A sturdy plastic cover protects the machine from dust and during transport. Included.
Automatic thread trimming – HZL-G220 only
The HZL-G120 does not have automatic thread trimming. This function is available on the HZL-G220: the threads are trimmed automatically at the end of an operation, and their ends remain on the wrong side of the fabric.
