Computerised JUKI G series sewing machine with 180 stitches, automatic thread trimming and a large working area. Suitable for the home, small sewing workshops and clothing alteration shops.
The machine offers 180 stitches, including 8 types of fully automatic buttonholes, an alphabet and monogram embroidery. It sews a wide range of fabrics, from thin silk to heavy denim or even leather, and has a sturdy construction.
Unlike the HZL-G120, the HZL-G220 trims the threads automatically after sewing.
Features
Sews thin and thick fabrics
G series machines sew a wide range of fabrics, from the finest silk to heavy denim or even leather. The machine's construction is very sturdy.
Direct stitch selection
Stitches are selected with buttons on the front of the machine. A clear chart is printed on the flip-up cover, so there is no need to open the manual.
Large working area
The working area is large, making it easy to sew large items. It can be extended further with the optional extension table.
Industrial-style fabric feed
The feed dogs move in a rectangular path, as on industrial sewing machines, whereas on many domestic machines they move in an ellipse. This improves seam quality.
The feed dogs are steel and the presser foot mounting is reinforced. When moving from thin to thick sections, for example when sewing denim or coat fabric, the stitch does not bunch up or skip.
8 types of buttonholes
Buttonholes are sewn accurately and neatly, with quality comparable to industrial machines.
Speed control slider
The slider sets the desired sewing speed. You can even sew one stitch at a time, and the machine starts smoothly without jerking.
LED lighting
LED lights brightly illuminate the working area, do not burn out and use very little electricity.
Automatic needle threader
The automatic threading mechanism threads the needle quickly.
Quilting and free-motion embroidery
G series machines are well suited to free-motion embroidery and quilting, as JUKI pays great attention to these techniques.
START/STOP button
You can sew without the foot pedal. The button lights green when the presser foot is down and the machine is ready, and red when the presser foot is raised, protecting the machine from accidental starting.
The button is close to your thumb while your hands guide the fabric, so you do not need to take your eyes off the work.
Horizontal hook and 7-row feed dogs
Horizontal hook system with a built-in thread cutter. The widened 7-row feed dog system feeds the fabric evenly.
Removable free arm platform
Removing part of the platform makes it easier to reach awkward areas of complex items.
Automatic thread trimming
HZL-G220 only: when a stitch is finished, the threads are trimmed automatically and their ends stay on the wrong side of the fabric. Trimming is activated with a button or set to happen automatically after sewing.
Other convenient functions
Stitch chart in the cover
Opening the top cover shows all of the machine's stitches.
Various projects
Choose the right needle and foot to sew denim, leather, silk or knits.
Automatic bobbin winding
When the bobbin is full, the mechanism releases it and winding stops.
High presser foot lift
Two lift positions, standard and extra high, convenient when sewing coats or denim.
Hard cover
A sturdy plastic cover for storing and transporting the machine is included as standard.
