Description

The JANOME 603DC is a completely new sewing machine with a great design as well as excellent technical specifications. Its main advantages are simple push-button control from the front panel, a memory function, monogram embroidery, automatic thread cutting when you finish sewing, automatic buttonholes and a beautifully illuminated information display that shows all the detailed information you need about the selected operation, stitch length and width, and the recommended presser foot.

Horizontal hook mechanism – the most convenient and advanced hook mechanism used in the latest modern sewing machines. The transparent window always shows how much thread is left on the bobbin, and threading the hook is very simple, which is very convenient when working with the machine. A machine with this type of hook has no vibration even at high speed, because the hook makes a full rotation rather than oscillating. The machine is also much quieter, which matters to most users.

Every sewing machine has a feed mechanism, but the Janome T603DC has exceptionally wide, closely spaced feed dogs that feed all types of fabric very well (SFS+ system). A walking foot is also included as standard with this machine. This mechanism is very useful when sewing "problem" materials, as it prevents the layers from shifting. To improve the fabric feed under the foot even further, the machine has a 6-step presser foot pressure adjuster.

Sewing buttonholes with this machine is extremely easy and gives excellent results, and there are many buttonhole styles (as many as 7). Simply place the button in the special buttonhole foot and the machine will sew as many identical buttonholes as you need.

Stitch finishing function – when embroidering, press this button and the machine will sew until the pattern is complete.

A large, bright LCD LED display gives full information about the current operation, the selected stitch length and width (when you choose an operation, the machine automatically sets the stitch length and width for it), the recommended presser foot, etc.

Another very convenient function is the needle position button, which lets you choose the needle up or down position without turning the handwheel by hand. Simply press the button and the needle will move to the position you need.

The speed control slider on the front panel lets you change the sewing speed independently of the foot pedal. This is very convenient for intricate operations that require precision, or when sewing thick items that do not need high speed. With the slider set to minimum, the machine will sew at minimum speed however hard you press the pedal.

The Janome 603DC has a very convenient presser foot storage compartment in its removable free-arm platform. The large removable sleeve platform lets you sew freely even in very hard-to-reach places, and the standard set of spare feet and accessories with this model is so generous that there's really no need to buy extra accessories.
