JACK JK-5878-68/78
Automatic sewing machine JACK JK-5878-68/78 for sewing pockets and making welt openings in garments. The pocket can be sewn and the opening cut in a single operation.
All processing steps are controlled by a digital signal processing chip (CMOS processor), so the whole pocket can be completed in one action. Almost all parameters can be set, and illustrated icons make operation easier.
Maximum speed is 3000 rpm. When sewing pockets on suits, trousers and similar everyday garments, 1800–2000 pcs are produced in 8 hours.

Features
Touch control panel
LCD touch panel with a Linux operating system, a 7-inch (~18 cm) screen and higher resolution. A graphic display is shown instead of symbols.
The main sewing functions have separate keys, so changing parameters and selecting functions is easy. There is a USB port for software updates and the screen language can be selected.
Easy needle gauge change
The needle gauge is easier to change, and the hook shaft position is adjusted together with the upper part of the table. Changing the work area takes half as long as on machines of the previous series.
The single or double piping converter is controlled from the panel, so there is no need to change the needle position or the folding plate. The large clamp foot has a mechanism for quickly changing the piping width.
Knife adjustment
Although the hook carriage moves, the knife blade stays still and phase synchronisation is not disturbed.
The corner knives can be pulled out completely, making them easy to adjust and the cutter easy to replace.
Lighter knife and cover
The knife and its protective cover are lighter and thinner, so the fabric is stretched less and does not slip, and the cut is more accurate.
Single and double piping
You can switch between single and double piping by pressing the left or right button.
Thread break sensor
If the needle thread breaks during sewing, the sensor stops the machine immediately.
Centre knife with separate drive
The centre knife is driven by a separate stepper motor, so sewing speed does not affect cutting quality. The improved knife shape protects it from deformation and improves cutting of elastic materials.

Manipulator for small items
There are two types: a gripping mechanical manipulator (SP-46) and a roller mechanical manipulator (SP-47). They are suitable for pockets located no closer than 250 mm to the edge of the material. The manipulator has a sensor that helps avoid errors.

Quality and productivity
According to the manufacturer, the efficiency ratio reaches 8:1, and savings exceed 16 000 $ (about 12 000 €) per year – thanks to lower electricity consumption, a compact unit and simpler operation.
