The Jack JK-5878-68/78 automatic sewing machine is designed for cutting welt openings in garments and sewing pockets.

Pocket sewing and welt cutting can be performed in a single operation.

 

These sewing machines use some of the most advanced technologies available today. Namely:

A) a digital signal processing chip is used as the integrated circuit, controlling all processing stages at once;

B) the machines in this series use a human-machine interface that is easy to understand thanks to illustrative pictures, and almost all parameters can be set. In addition, the maximum speed of the Jack JK-5878, calculated for sewing suit pockets, trousers and similar everyday garments with an output of 1800–2000 pcs./8 hours, reaches 3000 rpm.

Using a powerful CMOS chip as the digital signal processor, the entire pocket-making process can be carried out as a single operation in one step. The simple operating system allows sewing parameters to be varied freely.

LCD control panel with touch screen

1. New LCD touch control panel with Linux operating system, a 7.0-inch (~18 cm) screen and higher display resolution.
2. The display now uses graphics instead of symbols.

3. Dedicated keys are provided for the basic sewing functions. This makes it easy to change parameters and select the required function.

3. The current control panel is additionally equipped with an external device interface and a USB port for software updates.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Operation via this panel is made convenient by icon buttons and graphic illustrations of the specific steps of the main operations. A choice of display languages is also available.

 

Simple needle gauge adjustment reduces the overall adjustment time of the machine

Changing the needle gauge becomes much easier and more convenient. The hook shaft position can be adjusted with the upper part of the table.

The time needed to change the needle work area on machines in this series has been halved compared with the previous series.

The machine has a single/double welt conversion device that can be controlled from the control panel. There is no longer any need to change the needle position and folding plate, and with them the folding dimensions.

The large presser foot has an additional mechanism that allows the welt strip width to be changed quickly.

The time required to change the machine settings has been significantly reduced

Even though the hook carriage on the drive shaft moves, the knife blade stays fixed and phase synchronisation is not affected

 

 

 

 

 

Easily adjustable corner knives

The corner knives can be fully extended, as they use a withdrawal mechanism that makes them easy to adjust and the cutter easy to change.

The knife and its protective cover have become much lighter and thinner, which reduces material stretching and slipping and increases cutting accuracy.

Switching between single and double folding has become very simple

Switching from single to double folding is done by simply pressing the left and right buttons.

The centre knife is driven by a separate stepper motor

This machine uses a separate direct-drive motor so that the sewing speed does not affect cutting quality. In addition, the improved knife shape effectively eliminates bending/deformation and improves the cutting quality of flexible materials.

It has two functions – a gripper-type mechanical manipulator (SP-46) and a roller-type mechanical manipulator (SP-47) – and can be used for sewing pockets located at least 250 mm from the edge of the material. It also has a sensor to prevent errors during machine operation.
