Exclusive Sewing Advisor® sewing guide

This is a sewing guide developed by Husqvarna VIKING. You select the fabric type in the menu, and the machine makes the settings itself and shows which presser foot and which needle to use.

200 sewing operations and 4 alphabets

Utility and decorative stitches are selected quickly and easily, and they can be combined with each other. Four alphabets with letters and numbers come in handy when you want to embroider a child's name or initials.

Touch screen

The 64 × 48 mm LCD screen shows all information about the selected operation and its recommended settings. It is operated with touch-sensitive controls.

When you select an operation, the machine sets the parameters itself, but you can always change them to suit your needs.

Buttonholes with a sensor foot

As with other Opal™ series machines, a special sensor presser foot for buttonholes is included. You enter the buttonhole length in the menu before sewing, and the machine does the rest by itself.

8 memory cells

Each cell can store up to 20 stitch characters. The machine sews them one after another, so you can create your own stitch combinations, names or number sequences.

20 cm work area

It is comfortable for sewing curtains, throws and bedspreads, or mending jackets and jeans. Opal machines have a long free arm, so the large work area is also useful for free-motion embroidery and quilting.

Quiet hook and screwless needle plate

All Opal™ series machines have a horizontal anti-vibration hook. It rotates a full circle, as on industrial machines, so the machine sews quietly and without vibration.

The needle plate is fitted without screws: lift its edge with a small screwdriver and it pops out. This way you can quickly swap it for a straight stitch plate or clean the machine.

LED lighting and automatic thread tension

Bright three-zone LED lighting. Thread tension is set automatically according to the fabric under the presser foot, but you can also adjust it yourself.

The presser foot lifts high, and the built-in threader helps you thread the needle quickly.

Other convenient functions

A sensor warns you when the bobbin thread runs out. Automatic thread cutting leaves short ends, and the tie-off is almost invisible.

There is also twin needle protection, sewing without the foot control, additional speed and needle piercing power adjustment, needle positioning and a ruler on the machine.

Fold-up stitch guide

The top of the machine folds up and shows all the operations it can perform. There is no need to look in the manual – just choose the one you need.
