Husqvarna VIKING Opal™ 650
A computerised sewing machine designed by Swedish engineers that selects the settings for the fabric by itself. It suits both beginners and experienced sewists.
Opal™ 650 has microprocessor control, a bright LCD screen showing information on functions and settings, multi-point LED lighting and a work area enlarged to 20 cm.
The machine has 160 stitches, patented sensor foot buttonhole technology and a memory for saving characters. It runs quietly and smoothly.

Needle threader, twin needle protection, sewing without the foot control, additional speed and needle piercing power control, needle positioning, ruler on the body.
Thread tension is set automatically according to the fabric under the presser foot. If the setting does not suit you, you can change it yourself.
The Start/Stop function lets you sew at a constant speed without using the foot control.
Exclusive SEWING ADVISOR® sewing guide
This is a sewing guide developed by Husqvarna VIKING. Before sewing, you select the fabric type in the menu, and the guide makes the settings itself and shows which foot and needle to use.
Stitch width and length, presser foot pressure, feed dog height, sewing speed, needle piercing power and the thread cutter travel are set automatically.
Quiet hook and screwless needle plate
All Opal™ series machines have a horizontal anti-vibration full-rotary hook, as on industrial machines. As a result, the machine sews quietly and without vibration.
The needle plate is fitted without screws: lift its edge with a small screwdriver and it pops up. This way you can quickly swap it for the straight stitch plate or clean the machine.
Sews a wide range of fabrics
On Opal series machines, the fabric is fed by seven feed dogs. They adapt to the fabric thickness, so they feed both thick items and fine silk evenly.
Buttonholes with the sensor foot
A patented sensor foot is included, giving neat buttonholes. You enter the buttonhole length in the menu before sewing, and the machine does the rest.
4 memory cells of up to 20 characters
You can save up to 20 sewing characters. The machine sews them one after another, so you can create your own stitch combinations, names or number sequences.
20 cm work area
Large items are easy to sew, and the large work area is also useful for free-motion embroidery and quilting.
With the bed extension removed, the free arm length / circumference is 17.5 / 26.5 cm, making it easier to sew in hard-to-reach places.
160 sewing operations and 3 alphabets
Utility and decorative stitches are quick to select. Three alphabets with letters and numbers are handy when you want to stitch a name or initials.
LED lighting and automatic thread tension
Bright three-zone LED lighting. Thread tension is set according to the fabric under the presser foot, but you can also adjust it yourself. The built-in threader helps you thread the needle quickly.
