A computerised sewing machine that selects the settings for the fabric by itself. It is suitable for everyday sewing, clothing repairs and quilting.
You select the fabric type, and the Exclusive Sewing Advisor® sewing guide sets the stitch and thread tension and shows which foot and needle to use. All the information is shown on the screen, and you can always change the recommended settings yourself.
The machine raises the presser foot automatically, trims the threads at the end of sewing and runs quietly. The large 20 cm work area and 10 included presser feet let you take on larger projects too. The Opal™ series is one of the most popular Husqvarna VIKING series.

Features
Sewing guide and touch controls
Exclusive Sewing Advisor® is a sewing guide developed by Husqvarna VIKING. Once you select the fabric in the menu, the machine makes the settings itself and shows which foot and needle to use.
The 64 × 48 mm screen shows all the information on the selected operation. Operation is simple, using the touch control.
208 stitches and 4 alphabets
Utility and decorative stitches are quick to select. Four alphabets with letters and numbers are handy when you want to stitch a name or initials.
Patented fabric feed system
The Exclusive Sensor System feeds the fabric evenly, whether you are sewing simple seams, decorating or doing complex quilting work.
Buttonholes with the sensor foot
A special sensor foot is included, so all buttonholes come out the same length. You enter the length in the menu before sewing, and the machine does the rest.
12 memory cells
Each cell can store up to 20 characters: stitch combinations, names or number sequences. The machine sews them one after another in the order you arranged them.
20 cm work area
It is easy to sew curtains, throws and bedspreads, or to repair jackets and jeans. The long free arm is also useful for free-motion embroidery and quilting.
Quiet hook and screwless needle plate
The horizontal anti-vibration hook is full rotary, as on industrial machines, so the machine runs quietly and without vibration.
The needle plate is fitted without screws: lift its edge with a small screwdriver and it pops up. This makes it quicker to change it or clean the machine.
LED lighting and automatic thread tension
Bright three-zone LED lighting. Thread tension is set according to the fabric under the presser foot, but you can also adjust it yourself. The built-in threader helps you thread the needle quickly.
Other convenient functions
Flip-up stitch guide
All operations are shown on the inside of the top lid, so there is no need to look them up in the manual.
Quilting feet included
Clear open-toe foot, 1/4" guide foot and sensor darning foot.
