A special graduated needle plate helps you sew seams very precisely. When needed, the needle plate can be replaced with a special straight-stitch plate which, as on industrial machines, has only a round hole for the needle, so that when sewing thin fabrics such as silk or knits the seam is perfectly beautiful and even. The seven-segment feed dog system lets you sew the most difficult fabrics that no other sewing machine can sew well. The machine also comes with a specially designed buttonhole foot with a stabiliser. With this presser foot system, buttonholes come out perfectly beautiful whatever type of fabric you sew.

Another exceptional feature of this unique sewing machine is a special additional top fabric feed. When sewing difficult, very thin or very thick fabrics, it feeds them evenly so the layers never shift, and when going over multi-layer sections the fabric is fed evenly with no stitch bunching at the thick spots. The machine also comes with an extension table to enlarge the work area, making it much more comfortable to sew large items such as curtains, bed linen, wedding dresses, quilts, coats, etc.

This machine also has a knee lifter system operated by a special lever of the type used on industrial sewing machines. The ELNA eXcellence 680+th computerised sewing machine has a touch-sensitive LCD control panel for selecting operations and other functions.

The LCD screen shows the number of the selected stitch, the stitch length and width, and the recommended presser foot for the selected stitch.

Just glance at the screen and everything is absolutely clear.

The ELNA eXcellence 680+th performs as many as 482 sewing operations, including alphabets. All stitches and letters can be up to 9 mm wide. You'll find all the operations the machine performs right there – just open the cover on the top of the machine, where all functions are clearly listed.

The machine's work area is greatly enlarged: 210 mm to the right of the centre needle position and 120 mm to the left. So you won't feel any discomfort when sewing large items.

For even more convenience, you can use the extension table, which enlarges the work area further. The extension table is included as standard, so there's no need to buy it separately.

The needle plate has guide lines graduated in centimetres and inches that help you sew at set distances. Two needle plates are included as standard: one for decorative stitches and zigzag-type operations, and one exclusively for straight stitches. The needle plate is changed very quickly using a special patented system. No screws to undo and do up – press a lever and the needle plate simply pops off the machine body.

To hold the fabric comfortably with both hands, use the convenient knee-operated presser foot lifter. Once you've tried this system, you won't want to sit at another sewing machine.

The ELNA eXcellence 680+th has a 7-segment feed dog system and a 7-position presser foot pressure system. There is no fabric this machine can't sew.

The bobbin winding system has 5 special cutters for trimming the wound thread.

The ELNA eXcellence 680+ comes as standard with newly designed bobbins that help you wind thread onto the bobbin much faster. These are standard bobbins with an extra blue cap fitted on top, between which the thread is inserted. The bobbin is then placed on the winder and the thread is wound on. All bobbins are kept in a special branded ELNA box.
