Description
The ELNA eXpressive 808 combines sewing and embroidery in one machine. It has 300 stitches, 241 designs and a built-in embroidery unit with a 140 × 140 mm area, so you do not need a separate embroidery machine.
It sews at up to 860 and embroiders at up to 660 stitches/min, and you change the settings on a 3.5-inch colour touch screen. The set includes 9 feet with the embroidery foot, the SQ14e hoop and a foot control.

Sewing
300 stitches
Utility, decorative, quilting and other stitches, plus Block, Script and Broadway alphabets.
Touch screen
Choose a stitch on the 3.5-inch colour screen and adjust its width and length. Width up to 7 mm, length up to 5 mm.
Room to work
180 × 110 mm to the right of the needle, flat bed / free arm, 2 LED lights.
Buttonholes
- 15 one-step options: 12 sensor buttonholes plus darning, tacking and eyelet stitches.
Stitch combinations
- Combine up to 100 stitches in one sequence, with mirror image.
Feeding
- 7-piece feed dog, lowered with a key. If you start sewing with the feed dogs down, the screen shows a message.
Presser foot
- Clip-on feet, a pressure dial and an extra-high foot position.
- A knee lifter is optional, and the machine has a socket for it.
Needle plate
- One-step magnetic needle plate, and a straight stitch plate is included.
Controls
- Reverse, auto-lock, Start/Stop, thread cutter, needle up/down with memory and a speed slider.
- Speed up to 860 stitches/min. Twin needle sewing is supported.

Embroidery
Built-in embroidery unit
A swing arm at the rear moves the hoop, so there is no separate module to attach.
SQ14e hoop
A 140 × 140 mm hoop with template is included. Optional hoops: SQ10e, FA10e, FA5e.
One machine for both
To switch to embroidery, fit foot P and the hoop, and choose the settings on the screen.
Designs
- The machine holds 241 designs.
- Themes: floral and garden, food and drink, everyday and holiday, baby and child, name tags, in-the-hoop rattles, cross-stitch, lace for water-soluble stabilizer and for fabric, applique, fringe, flags and decorative alphabets.
- There are also GANAHA Collections.
Monograms
- 11 fonts, up to 30 characters and 2 or 3 letter monograms.
- Of the Lithuanian letters, the Gothic font has Ą, Č, Ę, Š and Ž, but not Ė, Į, Ų or Ū. The letters of the other fonts are shown in the charts.
Editing on the machine
- 17 editing functions, including move, duplicate, delete, zoom, resize, rotate, flip, monogram in arc, grouping, corner layout, sewing order, colour grouping and single-colour sewing.
- Resize from 80 to 120 % in 1 % steps. Fine rotation in 0.5° steps, up to ±5°.
Embroidery workflow
- Start and stop with the Start/Stop button and trim the thread with the thread cutter button.
- Before you start, you can trace the design outline without stitching or with a basting stitch.
- The machine can trim jump threads, and you set the length on the screen.
- If the thread breaks, the machine returns to the point where it broke.
- After power off, the last stitch is restored so you can resume the work.
Embroidery speed
- Up to 660 stitches/min. You can set the maximum speed from 400 stitches/min.
Thread and bobbin
- Horizontal top-loading rotary hook with a clear bobbin cover.
- Auto-declutch bobbin winder and guided bobbin threading with a built-in cutter.
- Built-in needle threader Smart System and an additional spool pin.
- Upper and optical bobbin thread sensors, manual thread tension.
Work area
- 2 LED lights in 2 areas, accessory storage in the arm, flat bed / free arm.
Embroidery on sleeves
- With the optional FA10e (100 × 40 mm) and FA5e (50 × 50 mm) hoops you can embroider sleeves and pant legs.
- The opening must be at least 200 mm and the embroidery area within 200 mm of it. An opening of 200 to 250 mm limits the area.

Your own designs and computer
USB port
- 1 USB port for a flash drive. The machine does not connect to a computer by cable, so designs are moved on a USB flash drive.
- USB hubs and card readers are not supported. A USB flash drive is not included.
EmbroideryEditor
- A free manufacturer program for computers (PC only) with the same functions as the machine. The link is in the Documents and software section.
File formats
- *.JEF, *.JEF+, *.JPX, *.DST (Tajima), *.JCPR.
Memory
- 2.5 MB. Save designs in the machine memory or on a USB flash drive.
