Description

The ELNA eXpressive 850 is a computerised sewing and embroidery machine with 619 sewing operations and 172 built-in embroidery designs.

You can use it both to sew and to decorate garments with embroidery. The embroidery module is compact and quick to attach, and the largest embroidery area is 170 × 200 mm.

The machine has 35 exclusive ELNA stitches, 6 types of automatic buttonholes, a backlit LCD touch screen, and automatic thread cutting and tension. The work area is 210 mm to the left of the needle.

Select the QUILTING (Q) window and stitch 43. Use ordinary thread in the bobbin and thread transparent thread through the needle. A seam sewn this way looks as if it were sewn by hand.

Plain straight stitches can be combined with stretch or decorative stitches – the decorative stitch you want is inserted into the plain seam.

Open the DECORATIVE (D) window on the screen and select stitch 2 – French knots. Then open the COMBINATION (BR) window and select stitch 5 or 7.

Zigzag-type stitches are up to 7 mm wide, decorative stitches up to 9 mm. Thanks to the increased needle penetration force, the machine sews through thick items and 2 mm thick leather. Special leather needles must be used for sewing leather.

The universal foot A sews a wide range of fabrics, and moving from thin fabric to thick causes no problems. The machine sews both the finest silk and as many as 9 layers of denim.
