Industrial twin-needle lockstitch sewing machine with triple feed and an enlarged horizontal hook. Designed for thick and very thick fabrics.
The machine sews upholstery fabrics, leather, faux leather, canvas, sailcloth, denim and other materials that need greater piercing and feeding force. The walking foot and needle feed the fabric steadily, so the seam comes out to a high standard. The machine is suitable for furniture making, car interior upholstery, and the manufacture of tents, sports and leisure goods.
The stitch can be up to 9 mm – twice as long as on standard machines, and a longer stitch looks better on thick items. The enlarged hook holds more thick thread, so you can work longer without changing the bobbin.
The machine is built under licence from the Japanese corporation MITSUBISHI and is a 100 % equivalent of the MITSUBISHI LU2-4420. Supplied with a table and motor: choose a single-phase 400 W clutch motor or an economical 750 W servo motor with needle positioning.
