An embroidery machine with a 180 × 130 mm embroidery area, 193 built-in designs, 13 fonts and a 3.7-inch colour touchscreen.
The machine has 193 embroidery designs, 55 of them new to the F-series. For text you can choose from 13 fonts (3 of them Japanese), available in three sizes. You can preview the design on the screen before you start embroidering.
The embroidery area is 180 × 130 mm and one 18 × 13 cm embroidery hoop is included. You can transfer designs via the USB port or wireless LAN and use Brother's Artspira app.
Features
180 × 130 mm embroidery area
You can embroider designs up to 180 × 130 mm. An 18 × 13 cm hoop is included and the optional magnetic hoop has a 180 × 100 mm area.
Colour touchscreen
The 3.7-inch colour touchscreen shows a realistic preview of the design. You can resize, rotate and mirror a design and combine it with other designs.
Artspira and wireless LAN
Over wireless LAN you can transfer designs to the machine and receive update notifications. In the Artspira app you can draw your own pattern or download Brother designs.
Transferring designs from a computer
You can transfer designs from a Windows computer with the Design Database Transfer app. You can also load designs from a USB flash drive or a card reader.

Needle threader
Lower the lever and the needle is threaded.
Bobbin winding and top-loading bobbin
You drop the bobbin in from above (Quick Set, horizontal bobbin) and can start embroidering.
The bobbin is wound on the machine.
Maintenance
- The user must not oil the machine: it was lubricated at the factory with the right amount of oil, so periodic oiling is not needed.
- Unplug the machine before cleaning; clean the bobbin case area with the brush and do not oil it.
