Important: Teflon sole
For the ironing set to work properly, the professional glossy PTFE Battistella 20709 Teflon sole must be used. It protects fabric from shine and scorching, glides well, protects the iron's heating plate and helps distribute steam evenly.
The sole lowers the temperature at the point of contact with the fabric by about 40 °C, so the fabric does not scorch, and dry superheated steam can be obtained at a relatively low ironing temperature. The Teflon sole is not included.
