BABY LOCK BLE3ATW-2 Enlighten
The Baby Lock Enlighten BLE3ATW-2 is a four-thread overlocker with automatic air threading and an automatic thread delivery system. Made in Japan.
The loopers are threaded by a stream of compressed air and the needles with a threading mechanism. The Automatic Thread Delivery™ (ATD) system feeds the thread evenly regardless of the fabric, so there is no need for lengthy tension adjustment before sewing expensive fabric.
The overlocker has 12 operations, including flatlock and the Wave stitch.
Features
Air threading
The patented ExtraordinAir™ system threads the loopers with a stream of compressed air. The loopers are made of steel tubes. No tweezers, confusing diagrams or set threading order are needed.
Threading at the push of a button
Insert the thread end into the port and press the button, and the thread goes exactly where it should.
Automatic Thread Delivery (ATD)
The system delivers exactly as much thread as needed, so there is no need to adjust the tension, from fine silk to heavy denim.

More room for your project makes sewing more comfortable.
Bright lighting
3 LED lights illuminate the work area.
Differential feed
The single-unit feed dog system feeds fabric more steadily and controls the differential more precisely. The extended differential range is useful for sewing elastic, gathering and sewing knits.
Needle threading
Patented needle threading system.
Presser foot lifts up to 6 mm
Even thick items fit easily under the raised foot.
Stitch length and rolled hem on one dial
The dial adjusts the stitch length, and turning it to the "Rolled Hem" position switches the machine to a fine, dense rolled hem.
Safety systems
The machine will not start sewing if any cover is left open. Sensors are fitted to the front and side covers and to the presser foot lift and threading systems.
Wave stitch
The patented Wave Stitch sewn by Baby Lock machines. It is suitable for decorating projects.
Cutting knives
A patented system: edge trimming, fabric feed and needle movement are synchronised. The knives are made of hardened steel and have a special ebonite coating.
Vertical needle movement
On Baby Lock machines the needles move vertically rather than at an angle. This means fewer broken needles, stronger fabric penetration and more precise timing with the loopers, so stitches are not skipped.
Stable fabric penetration
The vertical needle system keeps the needles from deflecting. Deflected needles often break or bend when they hit the loopers, and in the worst case damage the loopers themselves.
Strong loopers
The loopers are made of strong steel tubes through which the thread is fed, and they are very durable.
